SMI Air Force One Braking System Installation - 2004 Fleetwood Discovery Motorhome- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with our 2004 Fleetwood Discovery RV on a Freightliner chassis, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the SMI Air Force One proportional braking system, part number SM99243. Before we get started on our installation, let's go over some of the components that we're going to be installing. On our RV side, we're going to be installing a compressor, that's going to run to the back of the RV to an air fitting. What that's going to do, is going to supply air to your towed vehicle.What we're installing in our towed vehicle, or our Jeep, is going to be the Air Force One. Now that's going to have an actuator that's connected onto your brake pedal. That when the supplied air or the brake pedal is pressed in the RV, it's going to pull on that actuator, which is going to activate your brakes.Now that air is being supplied from your compressor on your RV through an umbilical cord that's running to the front of your Jeep or towed vehicle. more
